Workiva Scripting - Workiva

Senior Product Manager

Owned Workiva Scripting through Limited Availability — grew adoption 5x+ year over year and held momentum even after development resources were redirected to the Workflow Management strategic initiative. Authored the strategic proposal to resume investment in Scripting and move it to General Availability. Secured leadership and key stakeholder buy-in for the 18-month roadmap.

Adoption and GTM:

  • Sustained consistent quarter-over-quarter adoption growth through Limited Availability — grew script runs 5x+ year over year across 2023 and 2024, with active organizations and users reaching new highs by 2025.
  • Led Customize Workiva GTM for the Amplify 2024 LA launch — defined and launched the partner qualification framework, and evolved it into the Partner Scripting Readiness Program, and built enablement framework for sales, professional services, and customer support.
  • Supported 20+ customer engagements during Limited Availability; guided sellers and CSMs on positioning and readiness evaluation across global enterprise accounts in financial services, insurance, and pharma.

Strategic pivot:

  • When leadership paused active development in Summer 2024 to redirect resources to a different strategic initiative, I identified and surfaced the risks of that decision, kept the product healthy, and sustained adoption growth — then led the return to active development in Summer 2025 to address a critical platform dependency.
  • Authored the "Scripting 25–26 Plans" strategic proposal — reversed an engineering-led direction to merge Scripting with a separate execution runtime, making the case to reinvest in Scripting as a distinct product.
  • Secured alignment across 7+ functions (leadership, InfoSec, PMM, professional services, TPM, and solution PMs) and ratified an 18-month roadmap through the process.

Technical and platform decisions:

  • Managed Python 3.9 EOL transition with proactive outreach to ~50 affected customer and partner accounts.
